George is a qualified ISO 50001 Lead Auditor and has implemented JRP’s own  ISO 50001 compliant energy management system. He has also worked with two multinational organisations on their own ISO 50001 approach.

Having managed and Lead Assessed over 30 ESOS audits for a range of large manufacturing, telecommunications, utilities and healthcare sector clients, amongst many others, George is no stranger to getting his hands dirty on the factory floor and is equally at home surveying steam boilers as he is creating Net Zero plans.

George was honoured to be elected chair of the Independent Energy Consultants’ group (IECg) of the Energy Services and Technology Association (ESTA). IECg members provide the expertise to assist organisations with all aspects of energy procurement, management, standards and legal compliance.  George worked alongside the previous chair of the group, Jes Rutter, to support the Energy Conscious Organisation (EnCo) initiative and is committed to promoting behaviour change as an integral and critical part of an organisation’s road to Net Zero.

Shortlisted for the Edie 2020 Rising Sustainability Star award, George is passionate about using his drive and ambition to effect real change to reduce organisations’ energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. He hopes to carry this early achievement through to the rest of his professional career, pushing boundaries and facilitating meaningful change to minimise the impact we all have on the world around us.
