Barts Health NHS Trust has saved around £105,000 in the first year of a major sustainability project
Potential savings could be as much as £800,000 on the £12 million annual energy bill, said Trevor Payne, director of estates and facilities for the London hospital.
The real payback will come in two years’ time now that the initial groundwork – development of the “intellectual capital” – has been done between hospital departments and suppliers.”
