Energy Awareness in the NHS – ‘new eLearning programme could have significant impact’
A new 30 minute eLearning programme, developed in conjunction with a number of NHS Trusts, could have a significant impact on energy awareness in all areas of NHS Health and Care say energy experts JRP Solutions.

‘There is considerable pressure on NHS Trusts to reduce costs and saving energy is one sure way to do this,’ states JRP‘s Managing Director, Jes Rutter. ‘The NHS currently spends over £544m pa on energy. Any savings made to this figure could be used elsewhere in the organisation to fund essential patient services. And we know, because we’ve measured it, that significant energy savings can be made by engaging all staff.’
The new eLearning Programme, Be Energy NHS, is very visual, user friendly and cost effective. It uses high quality video content to show what energy is, why carbon emissions damage the planet and how everyone can help to save energy both at home and at work.
Be Energy NHS is relevant for all employees, no previous knowledge or experience is required and it is flexible - modules can be used individually for induction training or ‘tool box talks’. You can add your own learning material and energy saving story and it can be hosted on your own e-learning platform or by JRP Solutions.
