Jes Rutter, Managing Director of JRP Solutions, Chair of the Independent Energy Services Group of ESTA and the driving force behind ESTA’s Energy Conscious Organisation initiative.  Jes has over 30 years’ experience working with organisations across all sectors to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, particularly within industrial process environments.  Jes was invited to contribute to the Government’s development of energy efficiency policy for business and is a well-known speaker on behavioural change.


Andrew Schein, Research Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team. Andrew is lead researcher for BIT's energy and sustainability team. He recently managed the completion of BIT’s partnership with BEIS as part of energy supplier trials investigating the impact of alternatives to physical in-home energy consumption displays, manages BIT's partnership with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland assessing evidence from energy companies related to new ways to meet Ireland’s Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme, and works with water companies to reduce customers' water usage.

 

Dr Gavin Milligan, Director, Green Knight Consulting.  Gavin holds a PhD from the University of London and worked for 9 years in the chemical industry before moving to the food sector. He is a highly regarded sustainability expert, a past board member of Sedex and holds various positions in specialist interest groups such as IBioIC, BBNet, the Royal Society of Chemistry’s agriculture sector group and the Institute of Food Science and Technology.

 

Angela Dobbins, Environment Manager, Unipart Logistics.  Engaging employees is part of Unipart’s day to day activity and is visibly embedded in the company’s proprietary business system for continuous improvement, The Unipart Way.  Angela is responsible for facilitating and supporting this approach, including maintenance of standards and legislative compliance, report production and sharing of best practice, both internally and with customers.

 

Paul Garland, UK Energy Manager, Vodafone.

Paul has a Global Energy MBA from Warwick Business School.  His previous roles were in Dunlop, GEC, Rolls-Royce, Blue Circle, Lafarge and Lafarge Tarmac covering IT, manufacturing, reliability, energy/emissions and strategy.  These were all places where small changes can make a big difference to energy, emissions, cost and competitiveness and where reliability was not negotiable.


Carol Somper, Senior Sustainability Consultant, JRP Solutions. Carol’s experience spanning more than 30 years includes working for government on natural resource management and stakeholder engagement; at leading environmental consultancies on commercial projects and for Jonathon Porritt’s sustainable development charity, Forum for the Future.
