Tackling Climate Change through Behavour Change
Energy Specialists JRP Solutions are supporting a new initiative being launched by ESTA, The Energy Services and Technology Association, to focus on the crucial role that behaviour change will play in meaningful action to tackle climate change.

The Tackling Climate Change through Behaviour Change initiative has been under development for the last six months to address the urgent need for climate action to meet both IPCC 2030 targets and the more recent recommendations from the Climate Change Committee (CCC).
The new initiative will be launched at a special meeting of ESTA members on June 13th at the Crowne Plaza, NEC Birmingham.
Jes Rutter, Managing Director of JRP Solutions along with James Brittain, an Energy & Sustainability management and behaviour change expert and Paul Garland, Energy Manager of Vodafone have led the programme development to progress a holistic approach to tackling climate change.
“We have hard, commercial evidence that energy savings made through behaviour change can be equal to or greater than improvements using technology,” states Jes, “and we believe that focus is required to ensure that the ‘hidden’ savings available from behaviour change become mainstream.”
The Tackling Climate Change through Behaviour Change vision includes a key objective of delivering 50 to 100 proven case studies in the next three years and ESTA are inviting any organisation interested to be one of these and part of this initiative to make a difference.
The ESTA launch event will also feature a wide range of informed, quality speakers, with case studies and potential tools for employers.
