Simon has more than 30 years’ experience working for organisations providing energy consultancy and facilities management solutions. Most recently Simon has managed energy and energy service-related projects including carbon strategies, renewable solutions, heat networks, low carbon heating, heat pump, smart and micro grids and local energy systems.


A highly motivated energy and carbon specialist, Simon is a good communicator who has an excellent understanding of the commercial challenges clients face. His broad experience ranges from simple energy conservation measures to more complex solutions including technical and economic business case evaluations associated with heat pumps (ASHP, GSHP, WSHP), CHP, biomass, and waste heat as well consideration of the long-term energy and operational performance. Key projects have included the Kings Cross heat network project; Whitehall District Heating Systems; procurement and management of £40m of energy; assessment of energy solutions for a large agriculture organisation including existing drying and cooling applications and review of energy and carbon plan for energy operating assets.

Simon is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Energy Institute.
