Background:
Joanne is a Chartered Engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, much of which has been focused on energy/carbon reporting and regulatory compliance across all sectors.
The early part of Jo’s career was spent in the aerospace industry developing combustion systems for gas turbine engines, progressing to Head of Combustion responsible for technical and financial management of combustion related projects. She subsequently moved into energy consulting, advising on regulation as well as managing and delivering energy and carbon compliance reporting for blue chip multinational engineering businesses. Most recently Jo has been applying value management techniques to optimise a major water company’s capital programme.
Jo also has project management experience and has worked within the NEC contract environment. Most recent projects have included:
- Responsible for delivering Value Management programme to identify and prioritise savings across their AMP6 and AMP7 capital programmes
- Developed M&T systems to record, analyse and enable optimisation of energy usage. Working with clients to integrate M&T outputs into business planning and processes to drive outcomes.
- Advised on incoming energy/carbon policy along with the management and delivery of CCA, EUETS, ESOS and CHPQA reporting to ensure ongoing compliance for blue chip companies.
