Summary
Diageo’s headquarters, on the 500 hectare Park Royal Estate, the original site of London’s Old Guinness Brewery, is to be home to a new 750m2 Energy Centre and Substation The new £2.4m purpose-built energy centre will supply district heating to four proposed residential blocks comprising one hundred and fifty apartments and three commercial buildings on the Park Royal Estate and has the capacity to be extended to supply further premises as the estate grows.
Diageo appointed JRP to advise on technical and commercial contractual matters to mitigate their risk and to ensure the best contract terms for the operation of the district heating system As a result of JRP’s financial modelling and detailed contract review, JRP Solutions were able to ensure contract longevity and robustness.
“As a result of our experience in this area, we have been able to eliminate some significant risks for Diageo.” Jes Rutter, Managing Director, JRP Solutions.
JRP are currently working with Diageo on other international energy projects, including CHP, biomass and solar PV, to optimise resource efficiency for Diageo.
