Summary

This organisation employs more than 22,000 people across 9 sites in the UK and operates in some of the most complex and critical parts of the global economy, from transport and energy to the built environment.

JRP worked with this client to identify a wide range of energy savings projects. In the first year, approximately 100 improvement projects were identified including: compressed air, lighting, boilers, steam systems, insulation, steam traps, motors, drives and pumps. The client then asked JRP to project manage the implementation of some of these improvements and agreed that a budget of £100k would be set aside that year to do so.

Results

JRP worked with this client over a 11-year period during which energy savings of 30% were achieved whilst production increased by 40% in the same period. As the client said, “The most profitable area of our whole business was the team that managed the energy projects!”
