London Borough of Hounslow – Climate Resilience Planning
The client appointed JRP to develop a borough-wide Climate Change Resilience Plan, bringing together climate adaptation, flood risk, emergency planning and resilience into a single coordinated framework. The project assessed priority climate risks and identified actions to strengthen long-term resilience across Council services, infrastructure and communities.
JRP:
- Assessed priority climate risks across the borough
- Reviewed existing resilience strategies and programmes
- Completed a gap analysis to identify additional resilience measures
- Developed a prioritised Climate Change Resilience Plan
- Produced climate risk mapping and delivery framework
- Tested resilience under current, +2°C and +4°C climate scenarios
The final plan provides a clear roadmap for coordinated climate adaptation, helping the Council prioritise investment, protect vulnerable communities and strengthen resilience to future climate impacts.
Outcomes included:
- 51 climate resilience actions identified
- Integrated borough-wide climate adaptation framework
- Prioritised action plan for future investment
- Improved resilience planning across services and infrastructure
- Support for long-term climate adaptation and decision-making
